Travis Gale Lewis’s Theater Models
Scale models are to quickly communicate the design to Director and Producer. Showing the atmosphere and how the acting space will be used. They are called “Paper models”. The models further explain how the shows budget will be allocated.
“The Miser”, for example, is an intimate show, but the set needed to be expansive so we thrust the whole Set forward into the audience through the house proscenium line an created a new proscenium downstage. “The Night of The Iguana” had a need for showing people inside of their rooms. This required screened doors and windows and to open the viewing angle.
