Debbie Maestaz

I am a retired teacher and mother of two sons. I grew up in Henrietta, Texas, attended Midwestern State University earning a degree in Mass Communications and Speech. I spent almost a decade after graduating in the social services arena, until my mom passed at the age of 62. This life event had me revisit my original goal of coaching and teaching, like my mother had, and I did just that. I spent the last 19 years teaching and coaching, mainly in Speech and Debate in Wichita Falls and Keller ISD. My first artist love is photography, which I began while still in high school. In college I was the staff photographer for "The Wichitan" the campus newspaper, during my last semester. I was also published in MSU's Literary and Arts magazine "Voices". I'm looking to resume my love of photography in my retirement years.
