Sally Schneider Davis
I was born and raised in rural central Kansas. My childhood and early adult life was centered around the workings of the family farm. I graduated from Marymount College of Kansas in 1983 with a B.A. in Art Education and also received a M.S. in Educational Administration from Fort Hays University in Hays, Kansas. In 2006 my husband’s employment brought our family to Early in central Texas. In 2011 I received a Masters in Art Education from Texas Tech University. I have been an art educator for 40 years. I have taught art at all grade levels PK - 12, and I have been an adjunct art instructor for several colleges over the years. Currently, I am a middle school art teacher for Early ISD, and an adjunct instructor for Howard Payne University in Brownwood. If I had to describe my artistic style, I would say it is “transitional expressionism”. In other words I find my methods of expressing myself in transition as my life experiences dictate. As an artist I enjoy taking photographs and painting. I also enjoy creating assemblages and collages.
