Letterpress has a smell and sound that connects you to the past and present. It is a revitalized craft steeped in history and culture that focuses on producing one-of-a-kind art. The tactile connection to the past and present provides hands-on learning and an immediate “impression” as to why understanding diverse approaches to a problem is so important. I strive to bring small pieces of other cultures to the viewer so that they may experience and learn from them. These cultural snippets are called Cultural Artifacts. These artifacts are experiences and memories that occurred during my travels.
