Art that reminds us
Humble, ordinary items can become sacred artifacts when they are imbued with personal sentiment. This exhibition explores the objects that encapsulate a specific moment in our personal stories, and our attachment to those memories. In this thematic art show, submissions were graded equally in two categories:
1. Visual Impact 2. Interpretation of Theme
9th Street Studios assembled a panel of jurors from a variety of disciplines, who have lived and worked outside of the Wichita Falls Art Scene. The Call to Artists attracted submissions from all over the state of Texas, Oklahoma and as far away as Canada. The result is a bright and diverse selection of art that evokes emotion that only mementos can.
